March 4
Boot Skoot'n in Austin

We hopped on down to Texas early Saturday for the 75th Annual Zilker Park Kite Festival. Seventy-five years is quite a run and we were excited to be back in Texas to see friends and fly in weather much warmer than Canada had been a week ago. Of course, we didn't figure on the rain...

That's right -- the festival was rained out and is rescheduled for next Sunday. We won't be there. Instead we're committed to Yucca Valley California.

Still, we were able to spend time with friends. We took in part of the Independence Day parade, toured the Home and Garden exhibition, and went shopping for Texas boots and hats. We had a fine bar-be-que lunch with our friends from New Tech, ate Mexican with organizers Bunnie and Dorsey, and had fresh cheese curd with the Texas fliers at Culvers Frozen Custard.

The highlight was a night out at the Broken Spoke for Honkey-Tonkin, boot skoot'n and Lone Star beer.

Keep Ausin Weird...

We had a few surprises in our bags and are saddened we didn't get to air them out. But there'll be another weekend and another flying field.

Meanwhile, check out the Factory Outlet for a lot of new additions and mark downs. I think you'll be surprised!!

See you out there soon!
